Two Worlds Collide

My love of Muppets and makeup have converged with MAC's Miss Piggy collection. I got myself the eye shadow though though I really want the lashes too. I have always wanted eyes like Miss Piggy. I had this poster on my bedroom door as a child.

A Koozebanian Visitor Perhaps?

Wes and I went to a Toulouse Petit to try their "Best Happy Hour Menu in the Nation." There was a woman there who kept shrieking over and over. I think it was meant to be a fun and festive hoot but she sounded more like she was engaging the in Koozebanian mating ritual.

Why do some women do that Woo thing when they're out drinking?

So annoying.

Making Errands Fun

I wish I had seen this full set of Sesame Street Envirosax before last week. I bought the Oscar bag and I love it. It's huge and holds a ton of stuff. Plus it makes me smile. And, according to the official Sesame Street Twitter-stream, today is Oscar's birthday!

Jim Henson's Fantastic World

We took the kids to see Jim Henson's Fantastic World yesterday. The exhibit is small but filled with wonderful artifacts from Henson's whole body of work, from his early commercials and variety show spots to his later work on Sesame Street, The Muppet Show, Fraggle Rock and his films, The Dark Crystal and Labyrinth. There are video installations, loads of sketches and storyboards and, best of all, Muppets. Rowlf is there along with Ernie and Bert and several others. The kids didn't have the patience to look at everything so I will definitely go back on my own and do the complete audio tour.

One of the great videos was a reel of early commercial work, including the hilarious La Choy dragon.
