Elwood Swatching

I am beyond smitten with Elwood & Ringo, an adorable set of mitten patterns in the new Twist Collective. I am trying to make them from stash since they take so little yarn. I have some brown Koigu and am trying to find something to knit with them that's a little more interesting than white.

What do you think? I think the level of contrast is pretty good. But maybe I should just do white?

Don't know if you are going to see the critters with the color yarn.

I like - the contrast is great. And they're on my "too cute - must knit!" list too. Though I'm not surprised and you keep popping up on Rav as someone who has a lot of the same patterns in queue as I ;)

I like the brown. The contrast is good. And the colors look good together.

White would get realllllly dirty really quick.

I think the contrast is great and that the colours won't distract from the animals. Can't wait to see the finished product.

Great mittens! I like the colors with the brown alot! But I wonder if you'd lose the detail of Elwood and RIngo. I think a light tan or cream? Plain does show off the design better. Maybe make another pair of mittens with the colors and brown.

Surprisingly marvellous colors!
Don't do white!

The colors are fabulous, but I think the design would be muddled without a second plain color. Now, I think a kettle dyed yarn of a color would be great.

I love it - the color combo is smashing. If you want the design to be recognizable, yeah, something plainer, but gosh I love the combo!

I'm have an "OMG" moment: what a cute pattern! How could I have missed it? I will have to make those for my kids.

Fun idea with the colors.
