Transference

I'm getting to the point in knitting Taygete* where I want to be done with the main portion so badly that I'm being to actively resent the knitting for not being done.

*Did I even tell you I'm knitting this? Well, I am. In two colorways of Socks That Rock Lightweight, Puck's Mischief and a Rare Gems. It's a bit murky and mysterious and I like it.

I felt that way right in the middle of the main portion. But, if it makes you feel any better, I felt like the rest of it flew by.

I think I get that way with most projects. I'm such a product knitter that I want each section to be finished NOW so that I can get to the next one. Impatient much, me? lol!

No wonder you're impatient - acres of garterstitch would drive me crazy. The photos on Ravelry make it look fantastic, though. I've never been so tempted to make a shawl in my life, and shawls are not something I wear.

I hear you. I'm working on the Echo Flower Shawl and after 18 repeats of its main lace pattern, I'm pretty much DONE with those dang "pretty" flowers and their 3-into-9 stitches. Feh. I really, really, really want to get on to the border charts and be done!

Good luck with your knitting!

Someone at my LYS was wearing this on Saturday, she had just finished it, in 2 MadelineTosh colors - a gold/bronze and a bottle green. It was amazing! What a unique pattern. I bet yours will be worth the wait...
