Thursdays are for What the Hell is This?

I've written many times on the subject of Big Ass Knits. But this week I've found...

GIANT ASS KNITS.

They are so giant they seem to repel all other clothes completely.

So big they're eating the models! Good grief.

hahahaha. I want to knit with that yarn. I'd have a blanket in no time. Then I'd wrap myself in it, put on some high heels, and lean against things without brushing my hair.

While I actually like the creations of Sandra Backlund, this seem slightly over the top -- even for me...

It's like being swallowed by a big wad of dryer lint.

I'm just grateful that they didn't decide to hold that yarn doubled for a "really bulky" look.

What a waste of wool that could create something actually useful....

I loved the lint comment though. Touche touche..

I keep thinking of that movie Aliens where everybody is stuck in those cocoons. Interesting but creepy.

What a shameful waste of the glorious gift that we get from our lovely sheep. They should be ashamed of themselves. If they insist on creating beastly things such as this, they should learn to spin the aforementioned dryer lint!

Is there a washing machine big enough to wash them without killing the motor?

I love big knits but this is disturbing, gross and dreadfully flattering, unless you are do morbidly obese nothing else will fit

It's art. It's a sculpture worn by people. It's not a Christmas sweater.

wish i had known about this when i had to sit absolutely still surveying people doing final exams - ' they had forgotten to forbid knitting, so I knitted absurdly looooong shawls.......even my son refused to wear them.....

The titanic gray "dress" could make a pretty blanket.

I always think people in those huge knits look like Borrowers!

I just don't get the bubble wrap coating the stairs... as though she could actually trip in those hooker shoes and hurt herself. -seems to ignore the fact that she's swaddled in the world's largest hairball.

Heh. I think I see a hoof sticking out of that last one -- could she be wearing genuine LIVE SHEEP???
