Joyce Williams

I am incredibly sad to share that Joyce Williams has passed away. Joyce was a forceful, energetic woman so it seems impossible that she did not outlive us all. This photo of Joyce, taken at camp two years ago, will always make me smile.

Goodbye, Joyce. I will miss you.

Oh, I am so sorry to hear this. I took a class from Joyce and Lizbeth Upitis once, and met Joyce on a few other occasions... I don't know what it was, but from the very first time we met there was a familiarity and recognition. I didn't know her well, but she'll be sorely missed.

So sad... I took a class from her at camp in the mid-90s. She was awesome.

That's exactly one of the pictures that I kept thinking of during camp when she was in the hospital. I'm so glad you linked to it here for others to see.

We will miss her.

Jess, I just found out about Joyce when I placed an order at Schoolhouse press today. What a terrible loss. I remember her best from her teaching me how to cut a steek. I feel awful for Meg, to lose such a dear friend.

Joyce was a pint-sized powerhouse and an inspiration to us all.
