Intarsia in the Round
On Friday morning at Madrona I took Anne Berk's Intarsia in the round class. It was just three hours and we got started on what was supposed to be a bag. I used four shades of Cascade 220 (it's really loose because I was using size 8 needles).
The technique is actually pretty simple...until it's not. I could knit along happily until I a mistake would pop up and then it took lots of concentration and muttering to myself to correct the error. And being me, instead of a bag I made a hat. I think the swirly decreases look really fun.
This is a toddler-sized hat. It's 64 stitches and only 32 grams of yarn.
ETA: I forgot to mention that there is a Craftsy class from Anne that covers this technique as well as basic intarsia.
