Pattern: Leftovers Cowl by Wendy Johnson
Needles: US6 Addi Turbo
Yarn: So many scraps!
Notes: I knit this whole thing on the wrong size needle. I didn't realize it until I was nearly done. I meant to use a US4.
My finished cowl weighs 280 grams and is about 50" long. I used up a lot of leftovers but I only completely used up a few skeins. Colorwork takes so little yarn of each color in a project like this.
The biggest challenge was picking skeins that gave enough contrast and not picking the same combos over and over. It got really cumbersome to work on toward the end. All that cowl keeps twisting up in your lap and tangling with the yarns. Keeping it pinned up or stuffed in a project bag helps. It also is not a very portable project because of all the yarn you need to carry around. I found it useful to lay all the colors out in a tray at home to better see my color selection choices.
