A few months ago I saw in the sidebar of Mariko's blog that she was reading The Namesake by Jhumpa Lahiri. I adored reading Interpreter of Maladies and asked Mariko how she was enjoying the book. Imagine my surprise a few weeks later when it showed up in the mail from Mariko. Knitters are just great people. Well, I have finished reading the book and it's now sitting next to my bed.
