On Saturday I spun about an ounce of the Finn.

And plied it.

Still playing with photo draw. Notice the frames?
It's so soft and lofty and pretty and silky. I'm in love. My spinning is totally uneven. I was aiming for singles the thickness of thin spaghetti. I got crazy thick and thin. But I still really like it. I started spinning more and am trying to keep the singles the thickness of linguine and I'm doing an even worse job.
And tonight I brought my drop spindle to Purlygirls and showed how to spin with it. Then I plied my yarn with it. It's actually pretty good. Not spun too hard and relatively even.
In knitting news, I have 13 inches of my Retro Prep done, 9+ repeats of Backyard Leaves and I cast on and knit about 7 rounds on my Sockapalooza socks. I'll give all the socky details and a photo tomorrow.
