Meh. Does not need my money.
I'm confident my husband would never wear any of the supposed "men's" designs.
I'm so tired of every "extra" Interweave Knits requiring a trip to the store. How about including some in the subscription--oh wait--isn't that why I didn't renew mine!;-)
I'm a little bit weary of the extra Interweave stuff. That being said, I sort of liked the Mariner sweater, but what was coming out of those slippers? Was it roving or something? Whoa.
Kind of a stinker. It looked like designs that just couldn't/didn't make it in a regular issue. There wasn't one thing there I would actually spend money to make.
It's fine, but nothing really grabs me.
I'm with Christy - Meh.
I'm with the majority here - I think it's a bit of a blip. I'll pass.
There are a few I really like, but the greater number are a no, and some of those are just really bad.
At least none of the patterns are OBVIOUS "repeats" from older issues of IK. I've been burned on that before. (Also with BOOKS I bought, which particularly irritates me, as most of my book-buying has to be done online, and so I can't flip through the whole thing first.)
the prairie lace thingie with a different color lace insert? Just wrong IMO. I rather liked the brioche rib cardi though not in stripes like that. Though raglan sweaters are pretty easy to generate a pattern for...
Apart from my amused puzzlement at the poor guy they put in lime green, it was pretty dull.
Like the freebie bags pattern tho.
All I can think is...gee, didn't they use the same color palette as last time...and the time before that...and the time before that?
I know it's about the patterns, not the colors, but really. I feel like I'm looking at the same issue over and over.
Teal: check
Washed out orangey red: check
Pale yellow: check
Pastel green: check
Vaguely coral: check
Bland beige: check
Blah grey: check
Ugh.
I kind of like the Olivier pullover. Not that color, and more sweater length, less rib. That was the only thing I gave more than a passing glance.
