Celaeno

Pattern: Celaeno by Rosemary Hill
Yarn: Schaefer Anne in Spruce
Needle: US6 Addi Turbo
Notes: I used approximately 40 grams of size 6 silver lined aqua round Japanese seed beads from Fusion Beads. Knitting this was not a picnic. There are several unconventional stitches used like k4tog and a three-into-seven increase or a five-into-one decrease. Then the beading! After the random bead placement in the garter section there is the charted bead placement in the edging. It is practically a bead every other stitch for the last few pattern rows. It took me days and I can't say I really enjoyed it. But the end result is quite beautiful.

It's lovely, and the beading is gorgeous & makes it very special. I hope you can enjoy it despite not enjoying knitting it so much.

Wow, Jessica, it's really gorgeous!

I'm not sure if I could do 'random bead placement' sounds like a perfect opportunity for insanity since my personality would cause me to completely over-think it. (I'm working on a 'scrappy' quilt right now - crazy making!)

It really is beautiful but oh my that bead thing - I commend you and admire you for your persistence. I would have thrown in on the floor in a frothing fit.

It's very lovely. I think that's the nicest Celaeno I've seen yet. Well worth all the hard work you put into it.

Wow! That is stunning Jessica. I wouldn't mind beading every other stitch forever but the random thing - not so much.

Hope I get to see this in person one day.
