Deny, Deny, Deny

I knew the sleeves on my Garter Yoke Cardi were kind of big. So why didn't I try the first one on until I finished it last night? It was huge but somehow I convinced myself that the cuff was the real problem. So I ripped it out and started reknitting it. This morning I took another look at the enormous sleeve and pulled the needles out and started over on the second sleeve. There was some serious denial going on there. Now I won't have a new sweater for Madrona.

Sounds like my typical knitting project.

I'm finding more and more that I have to pay close attention to the sleeves because often they are too large. Like you, I deny first, then knit the sleeve, only to rip it and revise the pattern for the sleeve to fit properly. I just did it for Seneca.

Lucky you! We keep telling ourselves we need to Knit Something New for Madrona, but the hotel is way too overheated---remember? Now you'll choose something comfortable to wear instead. It's a win/win.
