Absolutely. So that they are scattered everywhere and you'll always have one next to you when you need them. It's the single storage bucket that is completely abnormal ;)
I don't know why it took me so long to be okay with having one next to my computer on my desk! (Saves me from walking across the studio to grab the one hanging off my needle storage unit, or to the other corner of the room to grab one out of the Drawer of Many Tape Measures in my Ikea storage footstool, or into the living room to my coffee table... (You get the idea.)
Oh Pshaw...that's nothing! I noticed a lot of stores put their logos on tape measures, so I get them as souvenirs of different stores on trips. I finally went out and bought a ginormous clear cookie jar to keep them in. It is like a knitter's gumball machine! Sock Summit souvenir? Already taken care of for about $3.50!
NOT IF THEY'RE ALL KEPT IN ONE PLACE!!! The first rule of supply hoarding is never keep them all in one place. 1)You could lose all of them at the same time; and 2)then you actually know how many you have.
I think you need a few more. Some really cool and different ones.
I have tons of tape measures, too. Even when the spring breaks in the retractable ones, I salvage the first 15 inches or so and throw them in one of my sock bags.

Totally normal. I just don't usually have them all in the same place. ;-)

I wish I had that many, mine keep disappearing on me and I have to hunt the house over until I find them!
Um, I have more, but I've been "collecting" for a longer period of time.
Looks normal to me. I still have my first one that I got for a sewing class in junior high school. I cannot always find it, but I still have it.
If I could actually find all of mine, I'm sure I would have more. I can only seem to find one or two at a time though.

Yup, completely normal. Even have one in my handbag. I am sure I have more tape measures than lint rollers around the house.
The only thing not normal is having them all in one place. You should go now and tuck one under a couch cushion, you'll feel better.
How did you manage to get them in one place? I have WAY more than that, I just don't know where they are.

possibly normal, I have a lot, but I dont keep them all in 1 place! I have 1 in each grab and go knitting bag, and 1 in each room I knit in...

It's the prefect length!
As a miniature gamer, I would say thats not enough tape measures.
That seems adequate. I have about that many. Now, as far as excessive, why do I have so many spatulas?
oh snap! so that's what happened to all my tape measures.
I think you might actually need more! I have a bunch too but can never seem to find them when I need them! - lppurl
