I like the skirt, but a) I would never knit a skirt, and b) I would just get the similar skirt pattern from knitty.

The patterns are boxy, and the colors just seem sort of blah, and not very fun, fresh, or summery. It's boring.; May 02, 2011 10:22 PM

I rarely buy knitting magazines, in part because most of my knitting is in fingering to sport-weight yarns and most knitting patterns are not. Caroline said...: @Anonymous - I had the same reaction at first - then I thought - WAIT a minute - they are using some models who are NOT size 0 here. I know we aren't used to seeing that, and in this case I don't think it's the garments that are making a size 0 model look wider - I think she really IS wider, and that is a good thing.; May 04, 2011 5:08 AM

And while we're on the subject (?), what is it with hoodies obviously designed to be worn inside? I mean, I can understand making a cardigan or jacket (or buying a sweatshirt) with a hood ***if it's intended to be worn for warmth or water/windproofing while outside!!!!*** But, guys, I don't keep my house at 40 degrees, and it hasn't rained in my living room in ... well, it's never rained in my living room.
